The Acura TSX: Because A New Perspective is Good
Longing for the road? You'll long for it even more after you've experienced it behind the wheel of the new 2009 Acura TSX! Available as of April 2008, it's the newest and the greatest that Acura has to offer. When it comes to meeting the demands of car lovers, the Acura TSX is right on the mark offering countless features that drivers are looking for and some they've never thought to demand!
Safety is always an issue. No one wants a fabulous looking car that performs at magnificent levels if it is going to put them in danger for every minute they are on the road. That's why Acura makes safety features a large part of their design process. The Acura TSX offers: stability control, ABS, air bags throughout the vehicle to ensure passenger safety as well as driver safety in case of a collision and more. The car was given every safety feature imaginable from front to back. But the designers didn't stop at ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers. They continued right on with great design features and amenities!
When redesigning the new 2009 Acura TSX, advanced safety features were only the beginning. Power and performance were on the forefront of the engineers' mind and because of such the new Acura TSX also features a 2.4 liter inline 4 cylinder engine capable of reaching 201 horse power and 172 lb-ft torque! The new engine will distribute power across a wider range of rpms, which when combined with the increased torque, should provide a greater feeling of power and control for the driver. With these adjustments to the engine, the Acura TSX is expected to receive up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
In 2009, the Acura TSX is expected to receive Honda's 2.2-litre i-DTEC clean turbo diesel engine. This engine is equipped with an advanced Nox emissions reduction system, which will make the Acura TSX even more environmentally friendly. The i-DTEC engine when used in the 2009 Acura TSX will require no urea additives to meet emission standards.
The 2009 Acura TSX with the 2.4 liter engine and the i-DTEC engine will both have two transmission options; 5-speed automatic and 6-speed manual. The automatic version of the Acura TSX will now come with steering-wheel paddle shifters for optional manual shifting.
As part of the revamping process the 2009 Acura TSX was made larger than previous designs. To increase stability and control the new TSX will have a 3.0-inch greater width, a 2.6-inch wider track and a 1.3-inch longer wheelbase than the current TSX. In addition, the length will grow by 2.4 inches.
Traditional Acura luxury is evident in the 2009 Acura TSX, but it offers more than ever before. This model has a USB port music interface and an optional tech package. The optional technology package includes: a navigation system, real time weather and traffic reporting, and 10 speaker premium sound system with DVD-audio capabilities. Another "advancement" that the 2009 Acura TSX offers is Honda's Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure that reduces the accident impact on passengers.
Drivers and passengers of the 2009 Acura TSX will also enjoy a power moon roof, 17-inch alloy wheels, Xenon High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights, heated front seats, leather upholstery, automatic climate control, satellite radio and HandsFreeLink (Bluetooth) wireless connectivity; a navigation system with voice activation is optional.
The TSX is a good bet no matter what your requirements are: fuel efficiency, safety for your family, sporty design and handling, luxury and comfort...the 2009 Acura TSX offers enough to fill all requirements!
