Top 5 Car Dealership Traits!

By Rebecca Worthlin

Buying a car is monumental! When you think about it it's the largest thing most people buy besides their home if they're a home owner. So making sure that you are treated fairly is much more important than most people realize. The car industry is pretty fundamentally confusing (some might say it's on purpose!) But at San Tan Honda Superstore of Chandler we like to keep things simple. Yes, we sell cars. But we don't sell cars at all costs or in direct opposition to the buyer's needs. We sell cars and we satisfy our customers; both aspects of the business are equally important to us here at San Tan!

Other dealerships don't care about the "happy" so much as the sale and quick departure of car buyers. When you decide to drop by a new car dealership make sure the very first thing you do is to check out the dealership and make sure it's a good option!

At San Tan Honda Superstore of Chandler we like to think that we help people. We help people buy cars. And we know a few things about what you should be looking for in a dealership for your next car purchase:

1.Look for polite sales associates. You shouldn't have to worry that two car salesmen are going to break out in a fist fight because they can't decide who gets you. Look for a dealership that allows you to have a little bit of space to browse rather than a dealership whose salesmen tend to hang out on the curb, open your car door before you've put it in park and refuse to let you out of their sight even at your request!

2. Make sure you are able to access Internet specials through your chosen dealership. You want the best deal and the easiest way to get the best deal is to relax and do your research online.

3. We all have to put up with bossy friends, bossy parents and even bossy siblings, but you shouldn't have to put up with bossy salesmen. Some salesmen depend upon the establishment of a pattern to make the sale. They might start by getting bossy with you on irrelevant matters saying, "Wait here" or "Follow me." Be aware that they may be leading up to a "bossy" finale where they tell you what car to buy at what price. Choose a dealership who has trained their sales people to avoid such pushy maneuvers.

4. Look for a dealership whose salesmen are very knowledgeable, but not ridiculously opinionated. This is your new car; not the salesman's. So it doesn't really matter how many times he's been tempted to buy the loaded, high end model in the showroom. If you feel like looking at it; go ahead. But don't feel obligated to accommodate the suggestions of a salesman who continuously suggests vehicles that are not what you came in to buy.

5. And the best of all traits to find in a car dealership is honesty! If you've got a good dealership you'll know exactly what your interest rate is before you sign anything. You'll know your payment amount. Advertised specials will actually be available and you'll feel comfortable throughout the buying process.

Start your next ownership experience off on the right foot by making sure that the dealership you deal with is top notch. You'll regret it very quickly if you don't pay attention. Make the most of your money...don't just be happy with the end result. Be happy with the entire process from the moment you walk onto the lot to the moment you drive off of it!
