Never Lose Your Way With A Navigon 2100T Portable GPS
I was in shock when my father told me he was lost when he called the house. Immediately I panicked and began to worry. Right away I started thinking that perhaps he has Alzheimers or something even worse. This could not be happening, he was a taxi driver. After my finding out that information, I questioned him. Is there any restaurant near you, or are there any people near by to help you, street signs near you at all, can you tell me if you cut the car off? Grrr!
I felt a lot better when he told me that all the new streets that had recently been put in on that side of town had made him lose track of where his turn was. He made me admit that I thought he was losing his mind to old age. I was relieved to find out he was still in his right mind.
When I got time, I searched different places in search of a GPS for my dad. It must have been a simple process, because after he pulled over and got out of his car, he looked up our numbers in his black book to use his pre-programmed mobile phone. He would still have his old humongous phone, if I hadn't shown him different.
Finally, after and long and arduous search, I discovered the Navigon 2100T portable GPS. I love that it's portable. He can take with him in his car, or he can take it with him in his truck. Its not as big as the Cobra GPSM 2500, but not as small as the Magellan Roadmate. He wears bifocals.
Another feature I really like was the 3 D images that are offered on the Navigon 2100T portable GPS. I was unable to locate this on any of the other models I observed. You know what it does that I find amusing, it gives a very realistic look to the roads. This will make my dada attempts at navigation a lot easier.
Each one includes "test to speech" technology. It is a great feature! In the past, GPS systems might tell you to turn left after you are down the road 15 miles. This small but fascinating machine will even inform you to make a left at "Carlisle Street." My father is aware of streets. Its not more than 15 miles. He would not even dream of pushing the little button that allows you to see how far you have gone in the car. Once you have made your turn onto the wrong road, it takes about five minutes until you realize you wanted the next left. This is not the case with the Navigon 2100T portable GPS system.
The replaceable SD card is another nice feature and you can upgrade to get traffic control. That way if you're stuck in a jam, it can give you alternate routes to your destination.
Not to mention, the price wasn't bad at all. I finally caved in on Amazon and got two for a little over $300. Well, I had to have one too. In less than a month, my dad had out done me and was showing me how to use my Navigon 2100T portable GPS. - 2368
