Y Tu Mama Tambien The Movie

The movie Y Tu Mama Tambien is a 2001 Mexican film that won the New York Film Critics Award for Best Foreign Film. It is a timeless and unforgettable tale that was loved and well-received by people around the world. The movie depicted the life and culture of Mexico and its people. It efficiently portrayed the poverty that was also present in some parts of the country. The movie was widely acclaimed and has been one of the rosters of best foreign films over time.

The movie is about the story of two boys (one boy portrayed by famous actor Gael Garcia Bernal) who met an attractive woman at a wedding. Smitten by her attractive face they began boasting about an imaginary beach until they were interrupted by a quick phone call from Luisas husband saying hes cheating on her. Luisa decided to go along with the two boys although the two has no idea of their destination.

During the long ride the two boys shared stories to Julia about their own sexual encounters. They had a stop over at a hotel and Luisa called to bid farewell to her husband. The other boy saw her crying in her room and began seducing her until they ended up in bed together. Bernals character saw what happened and got mad at his friend for he wanted Luisa too.

Luis settled the score between the two boys by sleeping with Bernal's character the next day. They all resumed the ride and found the imaginary beach and surprisingly with the same name. The trio frolicked and enjoyed the beach and had fun. They got drunk and slept together, the three of them that night. The next day Luisa woke up early to leave the boys the boys and end it after which she made a last phone call to tell her husband goodbye.

This film is being shown as a tribute to Mexican culture in New Mexico where almost half of the population is of Hispanic origin. - 2368
