Be Prepared When Buying Your Next Hyundai!

By Jana Kingman

At Hyundai of Tempe we sell Hyundais! And we're proud of the product we offer buyers. Hyundai has a complete line up filled with great options for every consumer of every walk of life. We're the first to say that we can get you into the Hyundai you need and want. But we're also the first to say that the entire transaction is more enjoyable if the consumer feels comfortable with the process. So we're here to suggest a few things you, as the potential car buyer, should do before you leave home to head to the nearest car lot!

1. Sit down with your significant other (if applicable) and write down what you want in a new car. Each of you should make your own lists. Specify what features you need, what features you want, number of seats, general look of the vehicle, etc. Every aspect of a new car you can think of should be on the list.

2. Now switch lists for a minute. Get an idea of what you agree on and what you need to further discuss. You need to figure out all the compromises before you leave to get a new car. This is not a discussion that you'll want to have on the lot!

3. Now sit down at a computer and find out all you need to know about current deals and specials. A good Hyundai dealership representative will be able to provide you with the latest, greatest info when it comes to getting in a Hyundai at special rates and pricing, but you don't want to discover later that there was an internet advertised special that no one mentioned. Plus...the more knowledge you have upon entering into the negotiations, the more comfortable you'll feel.

4.After figuring out just what's available through all the internet advertised specials and programs and deals, etc. you might have an even better idea of which model is going to be your best bet. Now you need to move on to price. Know what the best price and the median price is for the models you're interested in before you go shopping so you have some idea when you're being offered a great deal and when you're not!

5. At this point you've decided on the vehicle and you've decided what the vehicle's price should be, but you still need to check out your own finances to see if you can work the additional cost into your budget. Take into consideration the changes, if any, that will occur to your insurance premium, as well as any changes that will occur to your budget due to increased or decreased gas consumption, and then come up with a payment amount that would be appropriate. And stick to it during your negotiations. Just let your loan representative know that you can't afford it if the final numbers don't work for you. Don't feel pressured to get into something that isn't going to work for you in the long run.

Now you're ready for your new Hyundai! If you're in the area...drop by Hyundai of Tempe, but if you're not in the area you can still free to access us online at HyundaiTempe.com. We'll give you a head start when it comes to listing the best features on the best Hyundais and the outlining the greatest current deals and specials available with new purchases! Good luck shopping.
