Cheap travel around Cuba

By R. Maurette

You will find in this piece of writing some interest facts that will help you help you find cheap Cuba holidays. In the last 10 years or so Cuba has become a very expensive tourist destination and in these days of economic crisis the pennies count.

When you contact a tour operator for a quote and your itinerary is including various locations they will simply use taxis to move you from A to B simply because there are no other options available that they can book make money from it.

If you want to cut down your holiday costs then allow me to introduce you to Viazul. Viazul is a Bus Station with terminals in almost every province with tourist attractions in Cuba. Their tickets are very cheap.

So let?s put some examples here so that you can appreciate the difference in price. Let?s say you ask your tour operator for a package including Havana and Trinidad. That simple request will add around 150 GBP to your package. Instead what I recommend is to ask for flights and accommodation only and then book separately a ticket from Havana to Trinidad which will cost you 20 GBP.

The difference in price is ridiculous as you can appreciate and that was just one transfer. Now imagine how expensive it can get when a tour operator puts together an itinerary visiting Havana, Vi?ales, Cienfuegos, Trinidad or any other location you might be interested in staying

Viazul service is very punctual and the coaches are very comfortable. The only inconvenience is that it takes a bit longer compare to a taxi journey but hey we are taking about huge savings here.

The majority of the people that are considering travelling to Cuba do not know how large this island truly is. Cuba extends for over 1200 kms from east to west. Travelling from Pinar del Rio to Guantanamo can take about 18 hours driving.

While it is true that a Taxi will be the most comfortable way. Viazul is the next best thing. But in terms of prices nothing beats Viazul. - 2368
