Fun Walk have always played a big part in all the people of Oregon, Fun walk festival benefits the food and friends on wheels and Senior Meals Program. The event will start from Ashland Senior Center through Ashland Nature Park back to Ashland Senior Center. The event is open for everyone.

Fun Walk is a fundraising event that supports the needs of seniors of the state at the same time walking itself also benefit the participant. Walking is considered the simplest form of exercise. It is cost free and very easy to do. Making walking a habit will truly show great effect to a persons life and health. Walking is a natural way of loosing weight. It includes no diet pill and surgery free.

Walking can transform your health. Professionals now claims that taking roughly10,000 steps a day, sets of a chain reaction to health benefits, including lower blood pressure, reduced risk for heart disease, and better odds of reducing the risk of breast cancer.

Does 10,000 step sound too much? A little viewpoint: It translates into 4.5 to five miles, or an equivalent of an hour of walk. Still a bit too much? Try breaking it to shorter bits: Use the stairs instead of the elevator, run errand with foot and no taxis. A 30 min. walk before breakfast, a 20 min walk while taking a break at the office and another before dinner. Or just simply commit to getting up once an hour, every hour throughout the day, and try moving for five minutes.
